How Does Your Favorite Wine Taste the Best?

Have you sipped your fill of wine today? It’s as healthy as an apple if not better. A modern diet isn’t complete without the red drink. Or white? Well we’re not going there. But since we’ve had wine fanatics ask our waiters more info on the wines they’re served this article should serve multiple purposes.

It’s amazing how so much of wine is made to taste the same. The amount of grapes crushed and processed are in millions but there’s still so much uniformity to this drink. We managed to get into the details of a few wines we serve, as we have a wide variety to suite a wide range of taste buds when you lunch in Parnell, Auckland.

Knowing more about your drink while you sip it in front of a setting sun is definitely useless. But you can talk about flavor. Well that’s about it; it adds flavor to moments. But, there are a few flamboyant facts that we’re going to be armed with when we are bombarded next.

Square Mile Pinot Noir

The local brew from New Zealand, exactly from around Wairarapa, light and smooth. There have been mentions of an oaky, peppery hint. It’s been known to be excellent with steak and have an evident fruit burst.

Schubert Pinot Noir

The local brew from New Zealand, exactly from around Wairarapa, is light and perfumed. It has fine-grained, sweet fruit, and soft oak qualities. It is tangy and open with a good hint of sweetness and a real edge of acidity too.

Gibbston Valli Pinot Noir

The wine has a fascinating array of aromas from mineral and floral to earthy and spicy/herbaceous. It’s savoury and delicious with flavor of dried herb and mushroom flowing towards bright red fruit, with a long spicy finish. This beautifully crafted drink has a 5 star rating by Michael Cooper, Winestate Magazine.

99 Columbia Crest Merlot

Merlot is imported from Washington, Columbia Valley to be specific. It can out-rightly be called imposing and has a combination of richness and structure. Deep cherry and raspberry characters are are threaded with appealing aromas of nutmeg, vanilla beans, and cocoa. The brew is pretty complicated but can be termed as intense.  

Columbia Crest Syrah

Merlot is imported from Washington, Columbia Valley to be specific. It carries elegant smoky tones that lead to notes of currant, dried herbs and hints of pepper. An addition to the flavor is cedar and dark fruits. The wine best compliments food like barbeques, Charcuterie-Cheese, and lamb.

La Mascota Cabernet Sauvignon

Imported from Argentina, the region of Mendoza, by Mascota Vineyards the brew is made from Cabernet sauvignon which is the most famous red wine grape variety on Earth. It’s won Bronze in the International Wine Challenge, 2019. It has been majorly appreciated for complexity and tannins. Holding a flavor of dark plums, raspberry jam, roasted red pepper, and dark chocolate it ends with a long smoky finish.
